EIKENHOUT OLIE

Eik is een veelgebruikte houtsoort. Eikenhout is algemeen gezien een zeer sterke en harde houtsoort. Dit zijn de toepassingen waarbij eik vaak gebruikt wordt:

SOORTEN EIK

Je hebt ook verschillende soorten eik: zo heb je de Amerikaanse witte en rode eik, Europese eik, (traditionele) Franse eik en Chinese eik. Houtsoorten die het dichtst aanleunen bij eik zijn essen en iepen (hout).

Eikenhout is zeer duurzaam. Helaas ligt de prijs door de schaarste van eik vaak hoger dan bij andere houtsoorten. Het is daarom belangrijk om je hout goed te beschermen.

Binnenshuis

De Oil Plus 2C is de houtolie voor alle projecten binnen. Deze houtolie is ideaal voor tafels, trappen, parket en andere houtobjecten.De Oil Plus 2C is geschikt voor elke houtsoort. Vaak voorkomende houtsoorten voor binnen zijn eik, esdoorn, essen, kersenhout, walnoot, beuk, den, spar en vurenhout. Afhankelijk van de gekozen houtsoort zal het kleur natuurlijk wat verschillen.

De Oil Plus 2C heeft 40 verschillende kleuren, waarbij de Pure de meest transparante olie is.

De Oil Plus 2C houtolie is uniek omdat hij kleurt en beschermt in 1 enkele laag! Daarnaast is de houtolie enorm milieuvriendelijk met 0% VOC en een zeer laag verbruik.

In vergelijking met andere houtolies, is de Oil Plus 2C zeer gebruiksvriendelijk en is het Food Contact Compliant. Afhankelijk van de omstandigheden beschermt de houtolie tussen de 3 à 5 jaar, maar deze beschermingsperiode kan je aanzienlijk verlengen bij een juist onderhoud.

UNTREATED WOOD

Carefully mix the two components (1 to 2 minutes) with a ratio of appr. 3 units A to 1 unit B.

Let absorb during a few minutes. Thoroughly remove all excess of oil (cloth or polishing machine with white pad) within 15 minutes per zone. The surface should feel dry! Finish all zones the same way.

Sand the surface scratch-free. Vacuum thoroughly, eliminate remains of dust with Rubio Monocoat Cleaner.

Once the cleaned surface is dry, spread out a small quantity of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C (cloth or polishing machine with thin beige pad). Work in zones of 5 - 10 m2.

In a well ventilated room, the surface can be used 24 - 36 hours after the application

After 5 days, a treatment with water and Rubio Monocoat products can be applied. 30 - 50 m2/L, depending on the wood type, sanding and application method. Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C may be used for a maximum of 4 - 6 hours after mixing.

CLEANING

PRODUCT TO USE

Make the surface dust-free
Spray Rubio Monocoat All Natural Wood Cleaner - Spray onto the surface
Allow to dry. Rinsing with clean water is not necessary
Rub dry with a mop or microfiber cloth

MAINTENANCE

Eliminate all dust from the surface.
Spray All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray or Surface Care on the surface.
Rub dry with a mop or a microfibre cloth.
Let the surface dry. Rinsing with clean water is not necessary.
Wipe away all the excess oil with a Rubio Monocoat Oil removal cloth. The surface should look even.
Allow to absorb for a few minutes and massage the oil into the wood with a white Rubio Monocoat Scrubby pad.
Apply a small amount of oil with a brush and afterwards spread out with a red Rubio Monocoat Scrubby pad. Preferably work in areas of 2 to 4 m2 (areas which you can finish within ± 15 minutes, including the next step).
Take the Universal Maintenance Oil and add the Oil Plus 2C component A in the same colour with which the surface was treated before. The correct ratio is 3 parts Universal Maintenance Oil to 1 part Oil Plus 2C (as provided in the packaging set). Mix thoroughly.
